After a monumental summer, Houston-based energy leader, Quanta Services, hosted Utility Perspectives (UP), an invitation-only, senior-level executive symposium in Austin, Texas. Attracting top associates from Google, Duke Energy, and IBM, Quanta came to TMEG Productions, a global destination management company, in hopes of solidifying yet another pivotal event for the billion dollar organization.
Continuing from last year’s UP gathering in Chicago, TMEG’s event production team closely collaborated with Quanta to bring their vision to life.
The independent vibe of Austin, combined with its rich American history gave TMEG’s event coordinators a perfect setting for the venue. Known as “The Story of Texas,” the Bullock Museum illustrates the entire history of the Lonestar State ranging from its creation to its current role in the tech industry.
Booking world-class entertainers who paralleled the free-spirit of Austin and accomplishments of the Bullock Museum was a priority for TMEG’s talent acquisition team. Selecting an artist with strong country roots, Martina McBride’s nineteen million albums sold, fourteen Grammy nominations and laid-back approach solidified her as our headlining artist.
As buzz began to build, the massive lobby space of the Bullock Museum called for a centerpiece. Keeping that in mind, TMEG’s stage production team built a 44 x 24 foot platform for Martina McBride to deliver a memorable performance. The audio visual design team arranged the lighting, PA systems, and backline equipment needed for the main event.
On an Autumn day in Austin, TMEG Productions and its special event producers composed an awe-inspiring ambiance highlighting the feel-good music of Martina McBride to bring Quanta’s vision to life.
